We’re on the hunt for an experienced Water Serviceperson to join a solid team working across Dunedin. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining essential infrastructure, and want to be part of a reliable, down-to-earth team—this could be the role for you.
This is a varied role where no two days look the same. You’ll be working across maintenance, repairs, and installations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Installing new water mains and service connections
- Repairing leaks in water mains, service pipes, and meter connections
- Servicing and replacing valves, hydrants, and shut offs
- Flushing systems and digging trenches
- Delivering materials and equipment to sites
- Previous experience working with water reticulation networks (preferred)
- Willingness to be part of an on-call and standby roster
- Physically fit with a strong focus on health & safety
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Full Class 1 licence
- WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) endorsement or working towards it
- Class 2 licence is a bonus
- $30 per hour
