An Auckland-based New Zealand main contractor is preparing to commence a significant multi-million dollar commercial project in the coming months and is seeking an exceptionally strong Site Manager to lead site delivery from day one.
This is a key appointment requiring a proven site leader with a New Zealand trade background, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to drive programme, quality, and team performance on a large-scale build.
About the Role
You will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, leading all on-site activity from early works through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager and commercial team, you will ensure programme milestones are achieved, subcontractors are effectively managed, and cost impacts are controlled.
This role requires a confident leader who can take ownership of site performance on a busy, high-value project.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading all on-site construction activities on a multi-million dollar project
- Driving short-term and long-term programme planning
- Managing subcontractors, trades, and site coordination
- Working closely with the commercial team to manage variations and procurement
- Maintaining high standards of quality and site presentation
- Leading site meetings and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders
- Upholding impeccable health, safety, and environmental standards
