We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused operator to join our busy civil crew working across Hamilton and the wider Waikato region.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience operating rollers on civil, roading, or asphalt projects, and who is confident working around machinery and active site crews.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating rollers for compaction of asphalt and other civil materials
- Working alongside roading and asphalt teams
- Following site instructions from supervisors and foremen
- Maintaining safe operating distances around plant and people
- Supporting quality compaction, pass counts, and a clean finish
- Jumping out and helping on the ground when required
- Previous roller operating experience in civil construction - roading, asphalt
- R endorsement or WTR preferred
- Current full Class 1 licence preferred
- Site Safe or ConstructSafe is an advantage
- Good understanding of compaction, site safety, and working around live crews
- Reliable transport and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including drug & alcohol testing
