A leading New Zealand main contractor with a strong secured workload is seeking two experienced Project Managers to join its Auckland team. These are senior-level delivery roles requiring self-sufficient professionals with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects from inception through to completion.
The contractor is recruiting across two key sectors:
- Project Manager – Commercial & Interiors
- Project Manager – High-Rise Residential
About the Roles
Both positions require full ownership of project delivery, with accountability across programme, commercial performance, stakeholder management, and overall project outcomes. You will be expected to operate independently, providing confident leadership to project and site teams.
Commercial & Interiors PM
Responsible for delivering commercial builds and complex interior fit-out projects, often within live or staged environments, managing tight programmes and multiple workstreams.
High-Rise Residential PM
Leading multi-storey residential developments, managing vertical build sequencing, large trade packages, and coordinating high-volume subcontractor activity.
Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- End-to-end project management from pre-construction through completion
- Programme, financial, and risk management
- Leadership of site teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Client relationship management and reporting
- Driving buildability, quality, and programme certainty
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within a New Zealand main contractor
- Ability to run projects independently with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated track record delivering either commercial/interiors or high-rise residential projects
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen
- Decisive leadership and strong problem-solving capability
- Confident communicator across clients, consultants, and delivery teams
