They are seeking skilled, reliable, and hardworking Roofers to join their Palmerston North-based team for a permanent, long-term opportunity.
About the Company
Our client is a well-established leader in roofing, waterproofing, tanking, and specialist building products. They’ve taken the Palmerston North market by storm and are now expanding across the North Island and throughout New Zealand. With a busy year ahead in 2024, they’re looking for experienced Roofers to grow with the business.
The Role
As a Roofer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Installing long-run metal and membrane roofing systems (TPO, Butynol, Torch-On)
- Re-roofing and minor roof-related work (spouting, fascia, downpipes)
- Flashing work (toe, head, apron, ridge, barge, etc.)
- Roof and gutter cleaning
- Reading plans and measuring accurately
- Keeping job notes updated
- Following all H&S site protocols
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of roofing experience (qualified or certifying preferred)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Site Safe, Working at Heights, and EWP tickets (or willingness to obtain)
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
- Confident communicator and team player
- New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Resident
- $30–$35 per hour (depending on experience)
- Permanent, full-time role
- Supportive team culture with excellent systems and management
- Strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects
- All PPE and training provided
- Working at heights and on ladders/scaffolding
- Manual lifting and use of power tools
- Exposure to weather and dust
