We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established meat processing business on the West Coast. They are seeking reliable and capable individuals to join their production team as Plant Operators and Offal Input Operators. These roles involve physical work in a meat processing environment and suit people who are comfortable with hands‑on tasks and working around strong odours.
About the roles
You will be part of the meat and offal processing team responsible for maintaining production flow, handling product safely, and supporting daily operations.
Plant operator duties include:
- Operating and monitoring processing equipment
- Supporting production flow and reporting issues
- Assisting with cleaning and basic maintenance
- Following all health, safety, and hygiene procedures
- Handling, sorting, and loading offal materials
- Operating equipment safely
- Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas
- Assisting with basic recording and tracking of product
Essential requirements:
- Current F Endorsement Forklift licence
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Comfort working in a meat processing environment
- Previous meat processing or similar industrial experience
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Strong focus on safety and following procedures
