About the opportunity
Tech 5 Recruitment is a specialist labour hire agency supplying skilled tradespeople across New Zealand. We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Painter for a temporary assignment with a well-established client. This role suits a reliable painter who takes pride in quality finishes and is comfortable working across a variety of sites.
Key responsibilities
- Surface preparation including washing, sanding, filling and priming
- Repairing minor defects such as cracks, holes and damaged plasterboard
- Applying paints and coatings by brush, roller and spray
- Protecting surrounding areas and keeping work sites clean and safe
- Working safely at height using ladders and scaffolding
- Following site safety procedures and reporting hazards
About you
- Previous painting experience, ideally commercial or maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport
- NZ residency or a valid work visa
- Site Safe passport preferred
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
