Projects are predominantly based in the Rodney area, with work across the wider Auckland region.
Digger Operator – Key Responsibilities
- Operating excavators for house cuts, trenching, services, and backfilling
- Reading plans and following site set-outs and mark-outs
- Carrying out final trim and detailed excavation work
- Working safely around live services
- Completing daily machine checks and basic maintenance
- Assisting with general labouring when required
- Proven experience operating diggers on residential and/or civil sites
- Confident working in confined spaces and on sloped sites
- Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic
- Physically fit and safety focused
- Own reliable transport
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Two work references (required)
- Full Class 1 driver’s license (for company vehicle provided with this role)
- Transporting metal, sand, and gravel across residential and regional projects
- Loading, cartage, and safe delivery of materials
- Assisting site teams as needed
- Full Class 4 driver’s license
- Proven tipper truck driving experience
- Knowledge of safe cartage and load handling
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
- Own transport to depots
- Two work references (required)
- Digger Operator: $34–$40 per hour
- Tipper Truck Driver: $34–$37 per hour
