This role is best suited to someone who has worked on large civil or infrastructure projects and has experience with wastewater drainage and large civil pipes.
The roleYou will be working with an experienced drainage crew. Your duties may include:
- Laying and installing large wastewater and civil pipes
- Preparing trenches and pipe bedding
- Connecting and aligning pipes
- Installing manholes and drainage systems
- Working around excavators and heavy machinery
- Checking pipe levels and falls
- Backfilling and general drainage work
- At least 1 year of hands-on drainlaying experience
- Wastewater experience is essential
- Experience laying large civil pipes
- Experience on large civil or infrastructure projects
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
