We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer to join a hardworking team delivering essential infrastructure services across Dunedin.
If you’ve got drainage experience and take pride in doing the job right the first time, this is a great opportunity to step into a stable, long-term role with a reputable company.
You’ll be working across stormwater and wastewater networks, carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations to keep things running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Repairing and maintaining stormwater and wastewater networks
- Supporting drainage projects with planning, scopes, and scheduling
- Ensuring work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Identifying reworks and sharing learnings with the wider team
- Operating and maintaining small plant and equipment (training provided where needed)
- Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in drainage
- Strong knowledge of drainage maintenance, installation, and repairs
- A solid commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices
- Willingness to be part of an on-call and standby roster
- Physically fit and able to work both independently and in a team
- Full Class 1 & Class 2 licences
- Experience operating a digger
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- $32 – $35 per hour(depending on experience)
