About the Role We are seeking skilled Commercial Carpenters to join our construction projects across the Wellington region. This role involves working on a variety of commercial and residential projects, including framing, joinery, fit-outs, and general carpentry tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber and other building materials according to specifications
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications
- Construct, install, and repair structural and architectural elements
- Collaborate with site supervisors, other trades, and project teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards
- Proven experience as a Commercial Carpenter
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces
- Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens, Permanent Residents, Residents, or Open Work Visa Holders without restrictions
- Attention to detail and precision in work

- Problem-solving skills for on-site challenges

- Working at Heights – Risk of falls from ladders, scaffolding, or elevated structures
- Cuts, Lacerations, and Punctures – Handling sharp tools and timber edges
- Manual Handling / Musculoskeletal Injuries – Lifting heavy materials or repetitive tasks
- Eye and Face Injuries – Sawdust, flying particles, and tools
- Noise Exposure – Power tools, saws, and machinery
- Trips, Slips, and Falls – Uneven surfaces, cords, or offcuts on site
- Environmental Hazards – Working outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Fatigue and Human Error – Long hours or repetitive work increasing accident risk
- Competitive hourly rates based on experience - $30 to $35 pero hour (depending on experience)
