As a Civil Carpenter, you will be involved in:
- Building and installing formwork and shuttering for concrete structures
- Concrete pouring, finishing, and curing for bridges, culverts, drainage systems, and foundations
- Steel tying and steel fixing(rebar work) to reinforce concrete structures
- Constructing retaining walls, barriers, and other civil site structures
- Working alongside drainlayers, operators, and engineers on site
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and survey profiles to set out work accurately
- Maintaining strict compliance with health and safety requirements on busy civil worksites
- Have proven civil or infrastructure carpentry experience(not just residential)
- Are skilled in formwork, concreting, and steel tying/fixing
- Can read and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Hold a full Class 1 driver’s licence(Class 2 or higher is a bonus)
- Are reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well in a team
- Bring strong attention to detail and a proactive, motivated attitude
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and hold no criminal record
- New Zealand Citizens, or
- Hold a Resident Visa, Permanent Visa, or an Open Work Visa with no restrictions
