About the role
You’ll be working with roading and surfacing crews carrying out chip seal preparation, application support, clean-up, and general civil duties.
Day-to-day tasks may include:
- Assisting chip seal crews with site preparation and sealing work
- Spreading, handwork, brooming, sweeping, and clean-up
- Supporting sprayer, roller, loader, and truck crews
- Working around bitumen, aggregate, and sealing equipment
- Helping with traffic-sensitive roading environments
- General civil labouring duties as required
- Following site safety requirements and crew instructions
- Previous chip seal, sealing, road maintenance, surfacing, or asphalt experience
- Good understanding of working around road crews and operators
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoors
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Full Class 1 licence
- Class 2, 4, WTR, Site Safe, ConstructSafe, or TTM experience would be an advantage
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including drug testing
