About the Client
Our client is a well-established New Zealand construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across the country. With a strong pipeline of work in the Hawke's Bay region, they are looking for motivated Carpenters, Hammerhands, and Construction Labourers to join their team and contribute to a range of exciting projects.
The Role
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking construction workers for a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout Hawke's Bay.
Whether you're a qualified Carpenter, an experienced Hammerhand, or a General Labourer looking to grow your construction career, we want to hear from you.
Work will involve all aspects of construction, including foundation work, formwork, framing, cladding, site preparation, and general building activities from the ground up. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience on large-scale projects while working alongside experienced tradespeople in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and skill level, duties may include:
- Timber framing and structural carpentry
- Formwork, concrete boxing, and shuttering
- Cladding installation and exterior finishing
- Floor, wall, and roof construction
- Assisting with residential and commercial builds from foundation to completion
- Site preparation and clean-up
- Loading, unloading, and handling building materials
- Operating hand and power tools safely
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling building materials
- Reading and interpreting plans (for experienced carpenters)
- Supporting carpenters, supervisors, and other trades on site
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and productive work environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Minimum 2 years' carpentry experience
- Experience with framing, formwork, cladding, and structural work
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Trade qualification preferred but not essential
- Own tools and reliable transport
- Previous construction experience preferred
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Eagerness to learn and develop construction skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
- Reliable transport and current driver's licence preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Clean criminal history
- Site Safe Passport (advantageous)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Commitment to health and safety
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team
