Candidate Manager
Auckland | Flexible working hours | $65,000–$80,000 full time equivalent
We’re looking for a Candidate Manager to join our recruitment team in Auckland. This role is for someone who enjoys speaking with people, building relationships and keeping things organised.
You’ll help us find candidates for construction management roles. Some will be actively looking for a new job; others may be open to the right opportunity in the future. You’ll get to know their experience, understand what they’re looking for and keep in touch as opportunities arise.
You don’t need to have worked in recruitment before. We’d be interested in someone considering a career change who brings experience working with people and managing a busy workload. We’ll teach you about the roles we recruit for, how our business works and the compliance checks involved.
The role
You’ll search for candidates through job boards, our database and referrals, then make contact and start conversations. As you build your network, you’ll help candidates through the recruitment process by arranging interviews, completing reference and compliance checks, and keeping their records up to date. You’ll work closely with the consultants, so communication within the team is an important part of the job.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be comfortable speaking with people from different backgrounds and able to put them at ease. You’ll also be organised, attentive to detail and willing to learn about an industry that may be new to you. Experience in customer service, sales, administration or coordination could all provide a good foundation for the role.
