This isn’t your average cleaning job — it’s an important role that keeps aircraft safe, hygienic, and ready for passengers between flights. You’ll be working airside in a dynamic environment where time is critical, teamwork is key, and every detail matters.
What you’ll be doing:
- Clean aircraft interiors between flights — including seats, trays, floors, galleys, and toilets.
- Replenish cabin supplies (toiletries, seat pockets, blankets, etc.).
- Safely remove rubbish and waste.
- Report any damage, missing items, or maintenance needs.
- Maintain strict compliance with aviation safety, security, and hygiene standards.
- Work efficiently under tight turnaround times — some days you’ll be moving quickly from aircraft to aircraft to keep up with flight schedules.
- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 shift pattern(including nights, weekends, and public holidays).
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Clean criminal record(required for airport security clearance).
- Full NZ driver’s licence — shifts often start/finish outside of public transport hours.
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred (aviation, hospitality, or transport experience a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and biosecurity procedures.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player with great communication skills.
- Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety instructions.
- Must pass Airport Security Clearance and drug & alcohol testing prior to starting.
