About the Company 
Our client is a well-known international firm. Their purpose is the maintenance and overhaul of transport systems. They are now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their management team in their CBD based office.

About You
  • While you may come from a completely different background, what you do have is a strong interest delving into the data. Whether it is tracking supply chain cycle time or exploring excel in your downtime, data is a way for you to make sense of the world. 
  • Leadership comes natural to you, and you have demonstrated that in the past in warehouse management and control, where you have earned your stripes managing supplier audits, preferably within a safety critical industry
  • Your strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills bring results, build bridges, keep your suppliers honest and accountable and make you a pleasure to work with internal and external clients alike
  • Numbers hold no secrets for you. You have a thorough understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • You have a formal qualification in a relevant procurement and warehousing discipline, supplemented with at least several years of supply chain and inventory management experience, preferably coming from heavy industry

About the Role
You will be coming into a role and company with well-established and exclusive relationships with leading brands. Being part of their management team, your main responsibility is ensuring the logistics flow is smoothly running.
Amongst your accountabilities will be
  • Supply and procurement for all parts and products.
  • Managing supplier and contractor performance, assessing cost-effectiveness, quality and efficiency of suppliers and contractors, including procurement strategy and supplier management.
  • Reviewing material costs, spares availability, as well as evaluation of contracts and development feedback for suppliers
  • Supporting continuous improvement programmes, including procurement specifications, and predicting spare part demand.
  • Inventory Management and Warehouse Management
  • Leadership and staff management
