Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to become the heartbeat of our client here in Nelson.

Our client is a very unique organization, a global specialist in protecting lives in the air, on land and at sea, and they have been successfully doing this for over a century.
They specialise in providing the highest level of product safety and operational efficiency in their field.
We are looking for a Technician to work in the newly fitted out building.

You don’t need to come from their industry; you will be trained up

·        Attitude is key. Excitement is on offer (including learning to work with explosive devices!)

You’ll be conducting very thorough preventative maintenance inspections

Maintenance and repair of their products to the highest quality and safety standards

Assisting other specialists set up and test new products or processes

This could be a role for someone fresh in the workforce, or someone in the autumn of their career

No previous technical experience is necessary

A get-up-and-go mentality, however, is essential

Previous experience in a fast-paced role will benefit you. Bonus points if you served in the armed forces

Attention to detail will be the difference to someone’s life or death

There is a physical element to the role, so a mediocre level of physical fitness is required

Working within a cool small team of enthusiasts and specialists

Work hours 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Full training provided

If you feel you are the right person for the job, or would like further information, please call Kelsee, Monique or Daan straight away on (03) 543 8106 or hit apply to leave your application.

If this job isn’t quite right for you, but you are looking for a new job, please call us for a confidential discussion about your career. Different skills and experience could see you demand a higher rate!

Because of our and our clients commitment to health and safety, a pre-employment drug screen will be part of the application process.

Please note that applicants for this position must have either NZ citizenship or a current, open, and valid NZ work permit, and currently be physically in New Zealand.
