Processing Manager

  • Salary range: $ 112,400 - $168,600 per annum (depending on experience)

It prides itself on taking care of its employees, and are currently looking to add a Processing Manager to provide leadership in the achievement of world-class standards of safety, quality, productivity, cost control, compliance and performance of the processing team.

About the role:
I am looking for an experienced Processing Manager to join the team based in a factory in the CBD. This is a newly created opportunity for my client and will focus on all things processing! This is a fast-paced role reporting to the Site Manager with four direct reports. You should be confident in leading up to 100 employees and leading process projects in conjunction with the site manager.

Duties:
  • Supporting the development of long-term cross functional plans and ensuring their effectiveness and timely implementation
  • Leading and resolving complex multi-stakeholder problems to deliver sustainable improvements for the business
  • Implementing manufacturing principles and practice
  • Development of the people and ensure their wellbeing through the development of internal safety and wellness culture
  • Driving operational business plans
  • Maintain processing costs to or below budget
  • Flexible with shift work - available on weekends

Skills & Experience
  • Strong team leadership
  • Previous experience in factory management, lean manufacturing and project management
  • 3-5 years experience in the food processing industry (especially with raw material: meat or fish)
  • High level of computer skills
  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and clear communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and high organisational skills
  • Valid NZ working rights
