They are currently looking for a Head Maintenance Electrician to to lead their servicing and maintenance team to success and maintain their high standards. 

About the role:
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing and dealing with breakdowns on their factory equipment
  • Fault finding, and constantly looking to upgrade the equipment
  • Operating plant machinery and making sure they are set to the right specifications
  • Managing project work, implementing changes and installing new equipment
  • Responding to any stakeholder requirements and keeping them informed
  • Training and mentoring staff
  • Managing the night shift electrician and directing any required contractors
  • Maintaining and implementing a high level of Health & Safety on site.

Skills and Experience:
  • A current New Zealand Electrical Registration and Practising License
  • Must have at least 5+ years factory experience, ideally in the food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries
  • Experience managing teams of staff or running a department
  • Competent following electrical drawings, using PLC's and programming
  • Must be currently living in NZ with a valid work VISA
  • Be able to be customer facing and maintain a professional and friendly manner at all times
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • High level of computer savvy
  • A strong understanding of workplace Health and Safety and be able to direct others
