About the company:
Our client is a well known security and fire alarm company that has been around for over 50 years reducing risk for businesses and residents. They cover the entire process from the design stage all the way through to installation and maintenance, which is what makes their customer service stand out above others.

They have a reputation for their high health and safety standards, problem solving skills and for their highly experienced teams, making sure the job is done right every time. They put their success down to their communication, after sales service and their passion for the industry. Due to their growing work load, and movement within the team, they are now looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Fire Manager to lead their business forward.

About the role:
  • Managing the day to day operations of the Fire Service and Installation teams
  • Leading a team of 8-10 direct reports and providing them with a positive environment and training opportunities
  • Carrying out annual performance reviews and setting staff targets
  • Handling job delivery, scheduling and making sure a top-quality service is provided every time
  • Reporting in to the board with updates and financials
  • Ensuing the system is up to date and everything logged correctly in SIMPRO
  • Project coordination and resource management
  • Customer service and building and maintaining client relationships
  • Business development, growing both project and servicing work
  • Ensuring high health and safety standards, and company systems are adhered to at all times

Skills and Experience:
  • Must have proven experience in a team leader or similar management position
  • Ideally a qualified EST or electrician, or have a similar trade qualification
  • Must be technically minded, with a strong background in fire alarm systems, and willing to keep up to date with the latest technologies
  • Be able to lead by example and manage a team of up to 10 staff
  • Understanding of the financial side of the business
  • SIMPRO experience would be beneficial
  • Excellent customer service experience, and great with building and maintaining relationships
  • Must be organised, self motivated and willing to go the extra mile
  • Be professional, well presented with high levels of communication
  • Able to think on your feet, with excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of H&S, and experience implementing this into the team environment
