Are you a qualified carpenter but bored with the same old challenge? Sick of framing, trusses and the usual residential or commercial tasks? Is your passion seeing projects through and working towards that sense of satisfaction with the end result?
We are after carpenters who are either experienced in the civil industry or looking to learn and get involved in it. We have a handful of clients that need carpenters to join their teams to finish off the projects started from last year, and also help with the many new one’s kicking off in 2021!

Some civil projects you could be involved in would include:

• Retaining walls throughout Canterbury and the roads in North Canterbury and Kaikoura
• Bridge and Highway Construction
• Curb and Channel and Roading                                 
• Steel Fixing and concrete Form work
• Skate Parks are even part of the scope with some clients
• Tunnel crack finishing and restoration

What you need to succeed:

• Qualified with a level of experience in either civil, commercial or residential
• Willing to learn, it doesn’t matter if you haven’t had experience in civil before, our clients want to help you learn and grow with their culture taking what experience you do have and helping you fit
• You must have a strong work ethic, be reliable and be able to provide check-able work references
• Have strong Health & Safety practices
• Be forward thinking and willing to advance. 

What’s on offer:

• $27-$33 an hour rate
• Tools provided in most roles, own tools welcome to use as well but not 100% required 
• PPE Provided including brand new steel cap boots
• Training and development for those willing to learn

Some roles may require you to live and work outside of town.  Accommodation and food is generally provided for these positions and so flexibility for projects would be preferred from the candidates.
