Qualified Commercial Carpenter Leading Hand -  Wellington $33 - $35/hr

Our client is a privately owned medium sized construction firm that has been operating in NZ for many decades. With several privately funded commercial projects under way in Wellington, they have an opening for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to assist one of their Site Managers on one of their largest projects.

This will be an ideal opportunity for someone with leading hand experience or a Qualified Carpenter, 2 - 3 years out of their apprenticeship and looking to take a step up in their career. With plenty of work currently underway and a lot more in the pipeline your job security for the future will not be in question.

To be considered for this role you will need to be a Qualified Carpenter and provide a solid work history illustrating extensive experience in multi-storey construction, an ability to assist site managers with day-to-day site operations (managing staff, quality control and upholding health and safety standards). Professionalism is a key attribute for this role as you will be asked to set the ideal example for all other members on site.

What Tech 5 is after?
- Qualified Commercial Carpenter with over 6 years experience.
- Skilled in all forms of commercial construction (form work, framing, Steel work, tilt slabs)
- Have great communication skills to help co-ordinate staff and subbies
- Have a positive attitude towards Health and Safety and be able to drive and uphold safety standards and procedures on site.
-  An ability to adequately read and interpret plans to ensure projects are done to specific details to guarantee the companies high standards are upheld.
