Reports to: Finance manager/Managing director 
Location: Penrose, Auckland
Hours: 40 hours per week. The ordinary hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8.00am-5pm. 
Full time, permanent role.
Purpose of Position
The position is responsible for full ownership of Admin and Customer Service function. The Finance Manager will be able to count on you to support him in his role, enabling the smooth running of the finance and admin department.

This company is a family business that began many years ago in 1980. They specialize good old-fashioned specialty smoked meat products and bacons and have a brand-new state of the art facility in Auckland.
About the role
The principle objective of this position is to ensure all records of Sales Orders, AP and AR financial transactions are accurately maintained in account books and computerised accounting systems. This includes:

- Administration

  • Received customer orders on telephone, via email and MYOB Advanced system
  • Process customer orders on time and in a timely manner in MYOB Advanced system
  • Respond to customer inquiries. Coordinate with sales and other appropriate departments in processing orders.
  • Process purchase orders, receipt and supplier invoices
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable
  • Process purchase orders, receipt and supplier invoices
  • Weekly transaction reconciliation
- General Admin
  • Delegated administration from the Finance Manger
  • Ad hoc job duties from the General Manager

Business/Technical Skills
  • 2 years of administration experience/customer service ideally within a FMCG/Grocery industry.
  • Experience in AR/AP with one or both major food retailers would be very advantageous
  • Experience in customer service in any industry 
  • Strong excel skills. As a minimum VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables.
  • Touch typing speed 60 wpm
  • Strong communication and team work skills 
  • A Tertiary qualification is not required
