Reports to: Head of Finance & Operations
Location: Penrose, Auckland
Hours: 40 hours per week. The ordinary hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Full time, permanent role.

Purpose of Position
The position is responsible for full accounts receivable function, and general administration in equally. The finance manager will be able to count on you to support him in his role, enabling the smooth running of the finance and admin department.

This company is a family business that began many years ago in 1980. They specialize good old-fashioned specialty smoked meat products and bacons and have a brand-new state of the art facility in Auckland.
About the role
To ensure all accounts are maintained accurately, and inwards cashflow is maximized. To apply strong customer service to all external communications. Tasks include:
  • Producing and sending statements
  • Maintaining AR General Ledger
  • Setting up New Customer Accounts and updating as required Time to Time.
  • Manage aged trial balance
  • Payment allocation
  • Bank receipting
  • Posting payments from bank statements
  • Ensure outstanding payments are collected in a timely manner
  • Liaising with freight companies
  • Client reconciliations
  • Working closely with the accounts assistant
  • Provide ongoing support to the Finance Manager where required
  • Process the weekly wages in collaboration with the finance manage
  • Other general account tasks such as responding to email queries and general admin
Business/Technical Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years accounts receivable experience ideally within a manufacturing/freight industry.
  • Experience in AR with one or both major food retailers would be very advantageous
  • Experience in customer service
  • Strong excel skills. As a minimum VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables.
  • A Tertiary qualification is not required
